decent stay overall
comfortable bed charming room high price small pool
the building has beauty evident in the photos. the room included a very comfortable bed. a charming room added a tender touch.
the price of drinks at the pool seemed high. two aperol spritz cost €42. this seemed a bit much. the duration of my stay suffered from this cost. the pool size looked small for the hotel capacity. i found it overcrowded.

excellent chapel indoor facilities
The hotel has a chapel on the premises. It looked excellent! The indoor facilities include a sauna and steam room, accessible for every hotel guest.
I noticed that the bar menu items took a long time to arrive.

I appreciated the provided port wine and local custard pastries upon arrival. The on-site chapel offered a unique historical touch, I found it quite beautiful. The indoor facilities, like the sauna and steam room, were a great addition and free for all guests.
The maze-like layout made navigating to certain areas initially challenging.

The breakfast offered many juice selections and also a delicious eggs benedict. Bartenders were skilled and the piano player at night created nice bar ambiance. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel grounds reminded me of arriving at a castle with secured gates. Lush gardens created a quiet retreat within the area. The pool area provided a peaceful place.

really good service wide range solid drinks beautiful landscaping
I noted staff offered really good service. The breakfast selection presented a wide range of choices. The bar provided solid drinks. The hotel grounds displayed beautiful landscaping.
The minibar prices felt quite high.

excessive noise faulty air conditioning
The breakfast was acceptable. It offered a variety of options and fresh ingredients.
The air conditioning in my room was not working properly, so it was uncomfortably warm during the night. The noise from adjacent rooms was excessive. I could hear conversations and other disturbances quite clearly. I really expected better soundproofing. I found it affected my rest.

Acceptable Stay, Definite Shortcomings
mold problem noisy air conditioning
The staff was friendly and helpful, which I found to be a positive aspect.
I was very disappointed with the lack of upkeep. The air conditioning unit made excessive noise and it did not adequately cool the room. The bathroom also had mold in the bathtub. I find this unacceptable for an hotel with this rating.
